Shipment of goods across three roles: logistics, warehouse, and secretariat — with parallel packaging and carrier selection steps.
A hardware retailer ships ordered goods to a customer. Logistics decides whether special handling is needed. In parallel, the warehouse starts packaging the goods while the secretariat determines the carrier. If special shipment is required, the secretariat requests carrier quotes and assigns a carrier; otherwise, the secretariat checks if insurance is required and issues a standard post label (always) and optionally takes out insurance. After both the packaging and carrier steps are complete, paperwork is added and the goods are moved to the pick area.
